Insight Among Friends
Fashion knitwear designer Fiona Ellis does not like it when her fingernails clash with her active knitting projects. And, upon sharing this pet peeve while traveling and instructing at knitting events, she discovered that many of the knitterati don’t either. In fact, it’s not uncommon for knitters to have manicures to match their current active projects! When discussing this humorous nugget with friend Jacqueline Sava, founder of Soak Wash, Inc. (the leading laundry soap for delicates), an idea was born.
Soakboxes are perfectly packaged, gift-sized boxes, which contain:
1. A small bottle of Soak
2. A matching-sized bottle of hand cream in the corresponding fragrance
3. A bottle of Essie nail polish
4. And a fingerless glove kit with yarn died to match the nail polish
Besides its merit as a smart brand extension and its spot-on packaging (love it. make it. wear it. soak it.), my favorite part of this story is that the idea was spurred from a casual conversation between friends. Insight can come from anywhere; you just have to pay attention!
Great story! Speaks to the continuing conversation about mindfulness. And, I have a friend who would love this product!
